Astra Agro (AALI) Pede Capai Sustainability 2030, 3 Fokus Utama Ini Penyebabnya

EmitenNews.com—PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) menegaskan komitmennya terhadap keberlanjutan (sustainability) dan menargetkan setiap ukuran metrik sustainability tercapai pada 2030.

Komitmen AALI terhadap sustainability tercermin dari operasional perseroan yang fokus pada portofolio, masyarakat, dan kontribusi kepada public (public contribution). 

Presiden Direktur Astra Agro, Santosa menyatakan, Astra Agro mengikuti tren global yang concern pada isu-isu dan tuntutan sustainability . Bahkan, perseroan memiliki 12 aspek (metrik) yang semua targetnya mengarah pada Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Aspek-aspek tersebut yaitu penurunan emisi, pengelolaan energi, pengelolaan air dan limbah, pengelolaan limbah padat, konservasi lahan gambut, pencegahan deforestasi, dan pencegahan karhutla.

“Selain itu, perseroan juga berkomitmen menjaga dan melindungi keselamatan serta kesehatan kerja, peduli pada keragaman dan inklusivitas baik di tingkat karyawan maupun direksi,” sebut Santosa dalam keterangan resmi, dikutip Sabtu (18/2/2023).

Sementara dari sisi public contributions , lanjut Santosa, perseroan akan terus mengembangkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. “Kami berharap, setiap aspek yang dilengkapi dengan ukuran-ukuran dapat tercapai pada 2030,” imbuh Santosa.

Komitmen Astra Agro berikutnya berada pada penerapan good corporate governance (GCG). Menurut Santosa, GCG ini menjadi enablers bagi terwujud dan tercapainya seluruh aspek yang ditetapkan dalam Astra Agro Sustainability Aspirations.
