Chandra Asri (TPIA) Kolaborasi Dukung Pengelolaan Sampah Plastik Low Value

Mengambil momentum Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN), Chandra Asri menggandeng Asosiasi Daur Ulang Plastik Indonesia (ADUPI) dan Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kabupaten Garut menggelar diskusi mengenai Pemanfaatan Sampah Plastik Low-Value Untuk Infrastruktur yang Berkelanjutan dengan narasumber Sekertaris Dinas PUPR Kabupaten Garut, Asep Oo Kosasih, Wakil Ketua Adupi, Justin Wiganda dan Direktur Legal, External Affairs, and Circular Economy Chandra Asri, Edi Rivai.

Direktur Legal, External Affairs, and Circular Economy Chandra Asri, Edi Rivai dalam siaran pers (21/2) mengatakan, “Melalui momentum peringatan Hari Sampah Nasional ini kami ingin menekankan kembali pentingnya kolaborasi multipihak untuk mengentaskan permasalahan sampah di Indonesia.

Pemanfaatan sampah plastik low-value untuk pengaspalan jalan juga sudah dilakukan di beberapa kota besar di Indonesia. Berdasarkan penelitian Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR), penambahan sampah plastik low-value jenis kresek terbukti dapat meningkatkan stabilitas jalan hingga 40%.

Salah satu daerah yang telah sukses mengimplementasikan jalan aspal plastik adalah Kabupaten Garut. Berkolaborasi dengan Chandra Asri dan Yayasan Bakti Barito, Pemerintahan Kabupaten Garut berkomitmen untuk menerapkan jalan aspal plastik sepanjang 50 km pada tahun 2022 hingga 2023.

Sekretaris Dinas PUPR Kabupaten Garut, Asep Oo Kosasih mengatakan, “Kami menyambut baik terjalinnya sinergi antara Pemerintah dan mitra di sektor swasta untuk bersama-sama menciptakan solusi guna mengurai permasalahan sampah sekaligus membangun infrastruktur yang mumpuni”
