Indonesia – Korea Selatan tingkatkan kerja sama dan investasi di sektor industri

JAKARTA – Indonesia dan Republik Korea semakin memperkokoh kerja sama di bidang industri, antara lain terkait investasi pengembangan kawasan industri, pengembangan kendaraan listrik, industri kimia, industri baja, transfer teknologi, serta industri perkapalan. Hal tersebut merupakan poin-poin hasil Pertemuan ke-8 Kelompok Kerja bidang Kerja Sama Industri (Working Group on Industry Cooperation/WGIC) yang dilaporkan pada Pertemuan Tingkat Menteri ke-I Komite Bersama untuk Kerja Sama Ekonomi (Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation) RI-Korea (JCEC RI-ROK) di Jakarta, Selasa (22/2) lalu. 

“Kedua negara sepakat untuk meningkatkan kerja sama, termasuk penelitian-penelitian dalam pengembangan sektor industri,” ujar Direktur Jenderal Ketahanan, Perwilayahan dan Akses Industri Internasional Eko S.A. Cahyanto, Jumat (25/2).

Kerja sama yang akan didorong antara lain pengembangan electric vehicle (EV).  Selanjutnya, di bidang industri logam, telah dilaksanakan kerja sama secara kontinyu sejak investasi Korea POSCO dengan PT. Krakatau Steel dalam joint venture PT. Krakatau POSCO tahun 2013.

Pada sektor industri kimia, perusahaan Lotte Chemical Indonesia melakukan investasi pengembangan kompleks petrokimia baru. Selain itu, kedua negara juga menjalin kerja sama dalam hal transfer teknologi melalui proyek Agriculture Machinery Technical Center (AMTC). 

Sementara pada industri perkapalan, kedua negara sepakat untuk memanfaatkan momentum Indonesia-Korea Offshore Congress sebagai upaya penjajakan kerja sama perkapalan oleh para pelaku industri perkapalan di kedua negara dalam produksi dan pengembangan desain kapal berteknologi tinggi seperti LNG Carrier.
