JAKARTA, investor.id – Pendiri Medco Group Arifin Panigoro meninggal dunia pada Senin, 28 Februari 2022 di Rochester, Minneapolis, Amerika Serikat. Arifin menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya setelah mendapatkan perawatan intensif di rumah sakit setempat.

Pria kelahiran 14 Maret 1945 di Bandung merupakan pendiri dan pemilik Medco Group yaitu perusahaan energi dan pertambangan yang berdiri sejak 1980 di Indonesia.Arifin juga berkiprah diberbagai bidang untuk kemajuan bangsa dan negara.    

“Kami keluarga besar Bapak Arifin Panigoro dan Medco Group berterima kasih atas bantuan dari semua pihak dan pekerja atas dukungan dan doa selama beliau dirawat. Mohon dimaafkan apabila ada kekhilafan selama beliau beraktivitas selama ini,” kata Direktur Utama PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk Hilmi Panigoro dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Senin (28/2).
